Modern Relining Techniques

LEARN MORE

Are you smelling bad odours coming from your drains? Or gurgling noises coming from your shower? It could be due to a blocked or cracked pipe. At Pipes Relined, we use pipe relining to locate blockages and repair cracks without digging up any underground infrastructure. We’ll insert a CCTV camera into a pipe and inspect whether it’s blocked or cracked and determine what’s causing the issue.

Once the issue is located, a powerful high-pressure jet or robotic cutting device – that can cut through roots, steel and concrete – will be used to clear the blockage and prepare the pipe for a new lining. We then use a sophisticated machine to glue a new layer of lining over the damaged section of pipe, creating a durable watertight seal that will protect your property—long into the future! We service Tweed Heads, Byron Bay and Mullumbimby, as well as Coffs Harbour, Yamba, Grafton and surrounds.

Prior to relining pipes, excavation was required to dig up and replace underground infrastructure. Because pipes were often in hard-to-reach places underneath houses, concrete paths or driveways, replacing them was an expensive and time-consuming process.

Over the past few years relining was introduced – thanks to cutting-edge technology – as a modern solution for repairing damaged pipes.

However, because it’s still so new, most plumbers can’t do it. Pipe relining allows us to save our clients thousands of dollars and produce results that are as good as new pipes—without doing any digging! We also offer pipe patching, which is used on smaller jobs. This method uses a fiberglass mesh, loaded with a resin, to seal and strengthen the damaged section.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is pipe relining?

Pipe relining is a new way of fixing broken or cracked pipes without the need to dig. This can be undertaken by fixing the pipe from the inside by creating a new pipe made from materials such as resin or epoxy.

  • Why would I need to reline my pipes?

Relining is a less intrusive way to replace or repair your damaged pipes. As there is minimal disturbances or destruction to the surrounding property, this is a quick and easy solution to repair pipes without needing to use old and expensive methods.

  • How long will my pipe relining last?

Relined pipes do not easily corrode over time as they are made from durable and long-lasting materials. We usually say pipe relining will last around 50 years, but it is likely to last even longer than that.
